After the fourth, my mom and I spent the day doing some dangerous recreational shopping in between running errands and a late evening viewing of World War Z. This crop top and high waisted shorts pairing has basically been my uniform these past couple weeks; I'm having enormous amounts of fun mixing and matching different colored tops, (like marbled grey and white), together with different bottoms, (like circle skirts and jeans). You'll probably see a couple more renditions before summer's end. I was definitely one of those early risers who rushed to H&M at 7 am the day the Marni collection came out about a year ago. Although I came home with three pretty basic items, I've had trouble wearing the pieces. When I finally put this classic silk shirt on over my "uniform" it felt like a Eureka! moment. USC's Orientation was a very busy two days. It was great to meet a couple of my future peers both in and out of the film school and get a feel for the campus/what it will be like staying in a dorm. Plus I got my schedule for first semester-- my first class is at 10 am. In other words,  I won't have to wake up at 6:45 any more! I am beyond thrilled. Here are some photos from the event: I bought this vintage blouse from a friend at school. It crazy 70s and therefore perfect. Jumping for (what else) joy outside the School of Cinematic Arts. My official home! The Gwynn Wilson Student Union building is probably one of the most beautiful structures on campus. Architecture like this makes me crazy. Many people don't equate that Ivy League/East Coast collegiate campus look with a school on the West Coast, but I beg to differ with a building like this one. For all of you who have been wondering and have stuck with me through this intense process, I now have some news.  I have been accepted to Bard, Boston University's film school, Chapman's film school, UCLA, and USC's School of Cinematic Arts. I still have yet to hear from a few others, but I am beyond ecstatic. I have been waiting so long for this moment, and thankfully it's been a positive one instead of negative. (Also, for those wondering, I was waitlisted and Barnard and Colorado College, but who cares!?)
