 I've been a fan of these pants for months but never knew what to wear them with until I rediscovered this stripe crop top and suddenly had an entire outfit envisioned. I wore this on Sunday to see Gatsby with my mom for Mother's Day.  The only thing wrong with the movie was Tobey Maguire; I didn’t even mind Carey. Otherwise, Baz updated a story that would’ve been tired and made the overall plot accessible for a large audience... while driving me crazy with those incredible 1920s outfits. Seriously, I kind of want to throw everything out that isn't beaded or has a drop waist. I mean, besides these pants of course.  Marc by Marc Jacobs wallet, vintage python belt, Calvin Klein heels, American Apparel striped crop top and orange accordion pleat pant. 

For those of you who have been following my tumblr , twitter or instagram , this isn't really news to you, but for those of you who don't I wanted to officially announce that I will be attending University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts in Fall of 2013!!! This school has been a dream of mine since the beginning of junior year and considering their 6% acceptance rate I didn't know if it would ever amount to a possibility. I'm so happy to be on the other side of the application process and on my way to studying something I am so passionate about which is film. I could go on and on about how moving and emotional cinema makes me but I'll spare you. Suffice to say, I want to tell stories. This blog has been a story for the past five years. And I'm about to embark on another one this fall. I couldn't be more thrilled.  USC t-shirt, American Apparel shorts, Michael Kors rose gold watch, OPI nail polish. 

I apologize for the extremely long absence. Been caught up in the frenzy of college choosing/waiting for financial aid/committing etc. etc. In honor of all the college news, American Apparel sent over a congratulations package that included this denim bustier and pair short overalls (extremely dislike society's prevalent use of "shortalls" so have vowed to ban it form my vocabulary). I love both of these pieces, especially the overalls-- they're perfect for summer. Also, considering I'll be staying in Southern California for the next four years (more on that later) they'll still be perfect for fall to layer with tights, sweats and so on. I'm also majorly still enjoying my Verameat gold pieces.
