I've been wearing jeans everyday at school now because of their pure simplicity. You put them on and go, you dont have to worry about skirts flying up or nylons ripping or dresses being too short. Wearing these Katherine Hepburn-esque 40s trousers last week was a nice break. They were a gift from my aunt when she cleaned out her closet and they're beautifully made, with pleating in the front that I didn't get photos of. Who else is in love with Conan Obrien's new commercials? When he's dyeing silk with those women wrapped in saris and saying "I mean girlfriend come on "? Pure comedic genius. I am drowning under a sea of homework as our play reaches closer and closer to OPENING NIGHT. I had an actor's nightmare last night. It was awful. My favorite part of this outfit? My new Super sunglasses and the rosary that was a gift from the designers at Ken + Dana. The Supers I saw on a boy at school and I kept stealing from him because I loved them so much. Finally I bought my own, although he's told me Im not allowed to wear them at school... hmph. As far as the rosary, its the coolest necklace. I own so many rosaries and this by far takes the cake. Ken + Dana design always integrate messages into their jewelry, and this one features the juxtaposition of having a firing pin as the main part of a rosary. Its inscribed with Isaiah 2:4 which says " Then they will hammer their swords into plow-blades." Im not especially religious but I dont think you need to be. I love the message on this one. Meeting the boyfriend's parents is nerve-wracking. This feeling is further amplified when you are meeting the sister AND various other family members all in one night. I am just thanking the heavens above for this crazy comfortable grandpa sweater that I bought a couple days ago, it definitely got me through the night with its soft cable knit that hugged me as if say everything was going to be all right. Everyone needs a sweater like this. This dress has dragonflies on it, and some beautiful glass beading down the front. I need to get it tailored so its shorter, but Ive been meaning to get it on the blog for a while. The holidays are here! You have no idea how happy I am. I've added a couple of sparkly party dresses to my arsenal which Im too excited to whip out at a moment's notice. No big deal, but the holidays are only the best. Its not even about the presents. Its about the atmosphere. Im currently listening to the O Brother, Where Art Thou? soundtrack. Its so soulful

The weather has been very strange the past couple of days. Its been hot and cold and windy all at the same time! This has allowed me to wear a rainbow variety of clothing which has been very fun. I purchased this little chiffon number on the same day as the dress in the post below. It was a 50s themed day! I find that when Im shopping I tend to purchase items in the same color scheme and/or same decade. I am wearing a vintage dress, Versace belt, and The Stylish Wanderer x Mr. Kate presents Le Cadeau ring . I watched How To Train Your Dragon the other night and it was such a beautiful movie! The soundtrack was also great, John Powell did an amazing job... Of course I had to purchase it on iTunes the next day. Meanwhile, I have been dealing with the craziest most tiring schedule ever. Im in a play that requires me to be thrown on the floor a million times, I have bruises all over my legs because of it now. I am definitely excited for the thanksgiving break, and of course blog posts

Been falling deeply and madly in love with 50s dresses like these. I especially love this one because of the oversized silhouette and the green colored roses. Expect more Mad Men inspired to come.
