The last of the holiday series! This jacket is my absolute favorite statement piece. I don't think I'll ever get rid of it. The color has really been lending itself lately as I find myself gravitating to pieces in this rose gold/copper hue. This is a really quick post as I am down to the wire on these college apps. I took these photos in Los Angeles but am currently in Oregon with Jonah for a small vacation within a vacation. As I write, White Christmas plays on the TV and snow falls briskly outside; hopefully I'll get some winter-like photos before I leave. This holiday break is turning out to be just what the doctor ordered as I finish up the last of applications and rest after this past semester. It's crazy to think that this time next year I will be home from the first couple months of college. I feel like it was just New Years 2012. Speaking of, I wore this quilted jacket last New Year Eve and there's a high probability I will wear it again this year. The color is close to heavenly and it drapes perfectly. I love taking a basic clothing template-- in this case a black corset and a basic pair of black shorts-- and mixing different jackets/accessories on top. Versatility is the key to sustainability, not just in fashion but basically everywhere. I've had an obsession with statement jackets for about two years now, (honestly they're the only things I buy on a regular basis), and I'm glad I can pull them out now that it's finally cold. I'm so happy it's December. It gives anyone and everyone the perfect chance to pile on as many sparkles/sequins as they possibly can.
